Machining, Welding & Fabrication
BP Automation engineers custom machining, welding, and fabrication systems built around your specific process requirements. In-house capabilities include manual machining, CNC machining, waterjet cutting, welding, and machine assembly — used both to build our custom automation equipment and to take on standalone fabrication and machining work for customers.
Prototype and Product Development
BP Automation builds functional prototypes as part of new product and machine development programs. We work with customers from initial concept through proof-of-concept builds and functional validation — using in-house engineering, machining, fabrication, and controls to build working prototypes before committing to full production tooling.
Project Management
BP Automation manages custom machine projects from initial scope and engineering through fabrication, controls, installation, and commissioning. Our project managers coordinate across the in-house engineering, machining, and electrical teams to keep timelines and budgets on track — giving customers a single point of contact throughout the build.
Production & Process Control
BP Automation designs and builds process control systems as part of the custom machines we engineer. This includes PLC programming, HMI development, sensor integration, closed-loop feedback, and safety controls. Systems are built to give operators real-time visibility and control over production variables — speed, temperature, position, force, or process quality — depending on the application.
Electronics & Sensors
BP Automation integrates sensors and electronics into the custom automation systems we build. This includes proximity sensors, vision systems, encoders, load cells, temperature sensors, and other instruments used to monitor and control the machine’s process. Sensor selection and integration are handled by our in-house electrical and controls team alongside the mechanical and software design.
Measurement & Instrumentation
BP Automation designs measurement and instrumentation systems for custom machines that require precise monitoring of process variables — dimensions, position, temperature, force, or weld quality. Systems are built around the specific measurement requirements of the application, using appropriate sensors, signal conditioning, data acquisition, and controls.
